Life in the UK Test

Featured Replies

Hi,

Does a IDLTR certificate expire at anytime? Just wondering because i was told to get my wife to do it early as possible to get it out of the way, So if she didn't pass then she had time to retake it. Well, she still has about 14 months until she can apply for IDLTR but she took the testtoday after revising for many months and has passed it. But now i read somewhere online "you should send in your application as soon as possible after taking the test".. Now i'm worried!

She can't send in a application and cert for atleast 14 more months as she only arrived here in the uk at the beginning of this year (end of january) :) Can anyone give me a 100% certainty that it will not be accepted or it will be accepted in 14 months time..

Thanks.

I.L.R is indefinate as long as you stay within the constraints of the visa.

Your post is a little difficult to interpret, are you suggesting that the LinUK test, or K.O.L test needs to be taken asap, well it can be beneficial, but not essential to be taken asap.

Once it has been passed there is no end date, so get it out of the way as your partner has done, so yes it will be accepted, as things stand in in the future.
