What Are Thai Prices For Garmin Map 76?

Featured Replies

Here in Canada the Garmin 76 is about 9950 baht, and the Garmin 76 cx is about 11,800 bat. What are the prices like in Thailand? I understand that most electronics are more expensive in Thailand, but at least the better companies will load a Thai map with the price of a purchase.

I have a good Magellan that works well in Canada, but with no mapping system for Asia it only has limited value. Magellan dosen't think anyone else in the world but North America, needs a GPS with a map in it. There are NO maps available at all for Thailand.

My only knock on the Garmin 76 is it's almost twice the size of my Magellan and yet the screen is the same size.

Hi Ian, maybe you can consider Garmin 60Cx instead. It's basically the same as 76Cx and usually similarly priced, only it doesn't float. Furthermore, if possible get the one with a Cx (60Cx/76Cx), as it is equipped with a high-sensitivity receiver (better GPS chipset than in 60/76) for improved satellite reception.

If I were to buy another hand held, it would be a 60CX. I had an Etrex Legend. It worked great but I didn't like the toggle stick. You have to push it straight down for your selection and it is difficult to push straight down. I loaned my Etrex to a (FORMER) friend of mine and it apparently found a new home in the UK.
