Taipan hotel on Soi 23 is fecent value at 1450 Baht without brekkie (1750 with but its nothing special in my view). Good size rooms.

Royal President Bangkok, Soi 15. Standard room (nice and big at 30 sqm) for 1,600 THB incl. great brekkie. They have a decent pool and a gym as well.
