MS Office 2010 Beta

Download Here

For Feedback and install tips check this Thread.. Windows 7 Forum Info starts a few pages in...

Both 32 & 64 Bit available... But to keep Both 2007 and 2010 Versions of Office at same time you must install 32 bit versions.

At install chose "Keep Old Version".

Free Beta Expires in Oct 2010.

Enjoy

PS... It is possible that ONLY Professional version is active for download !!!

VG MS.

Now to install and test this Beta on my Work computer....

Something to play with when I'm bored.

Better it screws up than my Home. :)

There is probably another catch to it.

I installed a beta of Win7 some months back, license due to expire some months in the future. However, after about a month it would shut the computer down every few hours, I guess it was to remind me who the boss was. I scrapped it before it started the timeout crap.

Damned useless, let MS run it's own quality control department.

You probabaly were running a REALLY Old Beta... I've ben using Win7 RC (Evaluation copy) Build 7100 at work since it's release.... I've never had a shut-down issue.

Check the "Windows Seven Forum" I linked to in my OP above... I think you'll find you are alone with this problem!

I'm downloading a second Office Beta to install on this work computer right now. If there are any Issues, I'll report it here.

Intial feedback from Win7 Forum is All positive.

On reading, I thought that had solved my problem, but when I looked I see that there is no Thai language available. I put Win 7 Ultimate on step-daughters computer, but as I am still awaiting her ‘student copy’ of Office Enterprise 2007, I re-installed Office 2003. The Thai keyboard doesn’t work correctly (tone marks) in word, but it does apparently on chat sites.

I have Win7 and Office Enterprise 2007 installed on mine and it works fine so looks like there is some incompatibility there...shame.

Remember this is a BETA.. and only just released yesterday.. so there will still be issues... Win7 is available in Thai.. but Office 2010 is only downloaded in about 5-10 languages (didn't count).. so they do have some work to do... But if you have the Thai keyboard and Thai Fonts, I don't see why Word 2010 doesn't correctly render the Fonts... Must be some Bug.. You can report it.. maybe MS will give you a "Gold Star" !!

But you should have no issues using Thai with Office 2007.. My wife uses it all the time on my computer... and Remember.. You can Install 2010 seperately and maintain your 2007 installation... They can be loaded and run concurrently. You don't have to Choose the Upgrade path.. Choose "Custom" install... then they give you the Dual Option.
