There are a lot posts about getting a 1 year non O multi entry visa in KL showing the marrage certificate but can I get it in KL by showing the kids birth certificate with my name as father? I have over 400K bht in a thai bank for over 2 1/2 months ( I read they only require 2 months in KL), if so what other forms do I need to show?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I plan on flying to KL on Tuesday and Back on Friday.

There is no such requirement for funds. That is an Immigration requirement for extensions of stay inside Thailand and is 2 months for first application.

Last report from KL was only single entry non immigrant O visa for child I believe.

KL just wants to see some money in the bank. One poster recently reported that he was told that for a multiple they would like to see 100,000 in the bank, but he got it this time.

I read this in another post:

If they deny an extension based on having a Thai child you can get a multiple non-O visa from Kuala Lumpur. You must show some money in a Thai bankaccount. The visa is valid for one year. Each time during that year you travel to Thailand you can stay for up to 90 days. After which you can return (the same day) as long as the visa is valid. By leaving and re-netering just before the visa expires you get a new 90 day permission to stay and can get almost 15 months out of the visa.

Can anyone else confirm that I can get the multi entry non immigrant O visa from KL and what documents are required?

No, this visa is given if you have a Thai child but are not married to the mother. If married to the mother you would get one based on ahving a Thai wife.

To obtain a multi entry at KL proof of a bank account is now asked.

I came back from KL one month ago and was in the same position as the OP, I showed birth certificate, blue family book, £670 per month pension, 45k in Thai bank account. I was issued a single entry and told that for a multi entry I would have to show a marriage certificate. I was told to extend the single entry in Bangkok. Impossible as the £670 is short of the required 40k per month !

Just a reminder: it can also be 400,000 in a bankaccount in Thailand.

They gave me the single entry 90 day visa, as lopburi stated, they will not issue a 1 year muli entry based on a child in KL. Now I need to leave the country for a month, how do I go about getting a re entry permit to keep the visa alive?

Pop along to Immigration and apply for one. 1,000 Baht. You will need a passport size photo.

It keeps your stay alive it does not add days, so you would lose a month .

I'm curious if you had 100,000 in the bank or less, as another poster reported that in that KL now requires at least 100,000 in the bank for them to issue a multiple.
