I think its the old thing where any monkey with money can start any business he likes and go bust. Who minds, he has enough money and bananas.

No way I will fly Phuket air and No-care and similar things.

Lets just hope they ALL go bust including Airasia before there are accidents...

Update:

Tourists Delayed over Phuket Air Problems

British tourists were delayed in Thailand today following further problems with Phuket Air which flies to Gatwick airport.

It is understood that most of the carrier’s planes are under inspection by Thai authorities because of safety concerns.

A Phuket Air flight from Bangkok to Gatwick which should have arrived at 8.30am today did not take off and is now not expected at the West Sussex airport until 10.30am tomorrow.

One of Phuket Air’s Boeing 747 planes has been grounded at Gatwick for several days on the orders of the UK Department for Transport which wants repairs done to stop fuel leak and collision avoidance system problems.

British travellers coming back in the plane from Bangkok told of their terror when they spotted fuel leaking out as they attempted to take off from a refuelling stop in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

The plane has also been detained at Gatwick because of unpaid aviation bills. Phuket Air is, in any case, due to suspend its Bangkok-Gatwick service on April 23.
