Does anyone know if there is a bus service from Chiang Mai to Mae Sot?

I have a friend who needs to be there late this evening, but I can't seem to find anything on the Internet going to Mae Sot.

If anyone knows, I/we would greatly appreciate the information, or perhaps is there another place more popular that a bus goes to with a secondary service to Mae Sot?

According to Wikitravel they do - "Green Bus buses from Chiang Mai to Mae Sot depart daily at 11:45 (2nd class) and 13:10 (1st class)."

Correct. Just go to the main Arcade bus station. If you need to leave at other times, you could also connect in Tak. (Some Bangkok bound buses stop in Tak as well.)
