Hello

Has anyone had experience of trying to make an online application for an appointment at a public enquiry (passprt office) building.

I am trying to book an appointment for my wife's ILR application, which we are going to make in person. I am trying to do this online,as they are so difficult to get through to on the phone.

I can only assume that there is a problem with the on line system, as I have tried every office in the country, as far ahead as it will allow which I think is at least until Feb, and there are no available appointments. Surely they can't be that fully booked nationwide, that far in advance?

I will try and get through to make an appointment via phone tomorrow.

Anybody else experiencing this at the minute??

Thanks

This post indicates that there are indeed no appointments available until February.

All I can suggest is that you either keep trying on the phone or save yourself £200 and submit it by post.

BTW, I've edited the topic title to include 'UK.'

Hi

Just got through on the phone, and the lady confirmed no apps available through to end of dec at any of the offices in the country.

If we applied by post, she advised that 95% are dealt with in under 6 months. We are going to thailand on 20 Feb, so need the passport.

Will have to look at applying by post when we get back, or see if there any appts available for when we get back in mid march.

Jeez, this really is fun and games.........

Cheers,

Yes, some probably do come back a lot quicker, just dont want to take the chance, with having a holiday booked, and needing the passport.

Dont want to be sweating it at the beginning of Feb if the passport hasnt been returned.

Have to deal with it when we get back
