I would like to build a low budget home spa bath/pool, about 2m(w)x2.5m(l)x1.5m(h) I plan on using the bath/pool weekends and then emptying it and cleaning it. The bath is indoor, enclosed, shaded. I will use it in conjunction with a sauna - I just need to take a dip to cool off between saunas - does not need to be olympic size.

Would I need a filter/chemicals for such a small pool used for max 2 days between water changes? I plan on building a pump to circulate the water but don't think I need an expensive pool filter. I have seen pictures of home made sand filters that might do the job? Not sure.

Also, I need a simple plumbing plan - have googled with no luck.

Any tips on building a puddle in the back garden welcome.

Hi,,, I too did a lot more google on this low budget home. But I didn't get any information regarding the same.

I would be thankful, if you post the information regarding the same.

Great web site thanks, will help a lot. I went to Global House rayong they seem to have a number of smaller pump and sand filter systems that will do nicely, cheaper than the pool stores too. I then have to tile it then sort out pump/filter. The total cost will be below B50,000 inc. I still need to do some research on how best/how much to chlorinate the pool. I'll upload pictures when it's done.

very interested to see photos as still in the planning stage of my pool..I also thought I did not expect to spend more than 50k...seemed that most pool shops sell just the filtration etc at total prices that exceeed my budget lol. Will check out Global House..good luck
