As long there is a TV out from IMAC it looks like it should work

What are you trying to show on your TV from the IMAC?

Ive done it with aMac book air

1 Dont need overpriced macplugs for thousands of baht

I bought a connector at rural computer spares 90 baht

Need to ensure good earth

Best take your mac or these excelent pics I used the white lead then its screwd male both ends

Set TV to PC channel

Then with scroll tools yu can swipe the mac page over

I sometimes use expose and the control bar at top stays on the mac while the rest is on 42 inch TV

No problem takes awhile to get used to and mouse tracking

Good add ons is an optical Mouse and a remote keypad so you can sit on the terrace and switch pages or project on to bedroom ceiling and read the Bungcook Post in comfort

I've did it on a macbook using the first dongle you posted. Then used normal phono AV cables to get sound and svreen across to the TV.

Edit. Since i gave the macbook to the missus, i no longer need the dongle. PM me your address and i'll post dongle + cables . I'll even throw in a VGA dongle so you can have a 2nd monitor on from your mac :)
