Motorbike Rider Killed in Collision with Pickup Truck Near Pattaya
This is sooo true. I ride a bike wherever I go in Thailand (except Bangkok). Also in Vietnam and Laos. Chiang Mai and Phuket drivers, to an extent, are pretty respectful to the road rules and bikes, but everywhere else, forget the rules. When guests tell me that they want to rent scooters, I warn them of this scenario along the lines of 'when you are riding the scooter, you must assume that everyone else in a vehicle is trying to kill you'. -
