dickie58 Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Does anyone know when you can buy a nice Fresh Turkey in Thailand?
rfukata Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 i only seen frozen turkeys at "Makro" but really haven't seen any fresh turkey poultry for sale. If I remember correctly,, I think I've seen some turkeys running around in a plot of land (farm), therefore maybe inquire with some locals in your area who may direct you to the breeder/owner.

bkkjames Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 one click on google and found this. Mueang Loei Turkey Farm Situated at Ban Ko Rai Yai, approximately 9 kilometers from the city, the farm offers a unique opportunity to see thousands of turkeys. To get there from the city, take Highway No. 203 (Loei-Dan Sai) to the kilometer 9 marker, turn left and proceed for approximately 50 meters. The farm opens daily from 8.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. Contact 01 5455352 or 01 661 7511 for more information.

One of the first ones we slaughtered, a young tom, was cooked on the BBQ. It simply was too tough to eat.
