I have a single entry O visa which expires after 90 days. I'm married to a Thai and understand that I can apply for an extension of stay based on my marriage. I'm currently renting a condo in Pattaya and will still be here when the visa expires. Three questions:

1. Can I get the letter confirming my income from the British consular office in Pattaya?

2. Once received can I apply for the extension at the Immigration Office in Jomtiem?

3. Do I need photographs of the wife and I at our condo in each room etc as I've read before?

I have all of the other paperwork required i.e. marriage cert, wife's id.

Thanks in advance.

1. yes

2. Yes, but you do it normaly in the last 30 days. However don't wait till the very last day in case you forgot something.

3. Probably yes, but call immigration before you go to check if you have everything they want and don't forget to bring the misses along.

Once obtained, don't forget that if you plan to travel abroad during the period of the extension you will need to obtain a re-entry permit from immigration to keep your permission to stay alive. Fee 1000 baht single entry; 3800 baht multi entry.
