I plan to go to Thailand in April on a one-way ticket via KL with Air asia. It would actually work out cheaper than a return ticket for me and gives me the flexibility i want as i will probably go to Austrailia from Thailand and have no idea when i will return.

Here's the problem i understand Thai immigration will have no issues letting me in as i will have a non immigrant b visa but from what i have read in air asia's terms and conditions they won't let me travel.

Maybee i have miss read the terms as i havent looked through them at great detail but heres a copy of one section:

6.6

Documents Advisory: All passengers travelling on international routes must possess valid passports with at least six (6) months' validity and the applicable valid visas. Such passengers shall also possess a return or an onward journey ticket.

Do you think having a visa for Austrailia will satisfy the airline as proof of onward journey or will i need to buy a train ticket or something to get round it?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

If you hold a valid visa there is no Thai immigration requirement to show an outbound ticket at check-in and you can fly on single ticket. However, if planning on entering on visa exempt entry, the traveler must be in possession of an air ticket out of the country within 30 days of arrival or the airline may refuse boarding. Looks like the airline is confusing the two.
