Rimmer
Pattaya, December 15 [PATTAYA ONE NEWS] : On Tuesday afternoon in one of the smaller and cosier rooms in City Hall a preparation meeting was held to discuss a proposal to establish a dedicated marriage information and counseling centre for Thai people married to foreigners. Although no details were forthcoming about when this centre will be established or where it will be located, the meeting covered the kinds of issues faced by foreigners married to Thais. For example, when a marriage breaks down, just what is the Thai, usually female, entitled to receive from the foreigner. Equally, if the couple have children, just what rights does the foreigner, usually male, have in relation to further access to his children. All those who attended the meeting thought the idea was good and it will now be up to the central administration to find an appropriate budget and location for the establishment of a centre. http://www.pattayaone.net/news [newsfooter][/newsfooter] 15 Dec 2009

ozsamurai
courses/information (how to rip off your hubby and get away clean) will all be printed in Thai I assume and just encourage more marriages to break down (to the benefit of the Thai female) instead of couples having to weather the hard times as is normal in any country and in any culture.... What a stupid idea, too open to abuse... ATTN ALL Farang... know your rights BEFORE you get married...there are none!
