Financial Controller For Bangkok Office

We are looking for a Financial Controller, and before we put this to a headhunter, I thought Id see if there were any takers here on Thai Visa. I plagurised some of the text from Wiki Answers ;-)

This is full time, based in Bangkok, in the office, and is open to Thai or Expat, and work permits will be provided.

This position is a hands role with the emphasis on providing information and genuine commercial direction to the MD of a fast growing software house that sells products via Internet and Reseller channels globally. The role will encompass all areas of accounting from financial accounting to forecasting and include specific project work. You will provide regular relevant analysis and help make course changing business decisions.

Financial Controller, reporting to the Managing Director, to be responsible for the Finance Function on a day to day basis. Ideally a commercially focused UK CA, you will produce management accounts and reports of all commercial business issues. You will use your staff management and accountancy skills in working with two supporting staff members, collating the numbers for the business, managing the cash-flow, creating reports, interpreting and providing business direction . The candidate will also head up weekly finance meetings where tactical and strategic plans are made. Actual accounts will be prepared by local accountants, and book-keeping will be done by admin staff, but you will need to be hands on when required, particularly when trying to get the numbers for other parts of the business such as chargeback activity and payment gateway metrics

Further responsibilities will include HR and Legal functions depending on interest and ability.

The sucessful candidate will have had at least 5 years working for large corporations in this role, and will now be ready to help power the growth of a smaller one!
