The quality of the 'dogs eye' varies vastly in both of those countries, so Im unable to answer you question.

Theres nothing like a good old country home baked dogs eye. :)

Oh, this one is going to set the gourmets going . I think it's a matter of personal preferance, I like both.

Of course Pies aren't just pies these days, we have a whole range of tempting fittings so it will depend on what you like.

Personally if Mrs Macs ( Australia) had an outlet here that sold their Beef, Cheese and Bacon Pie's, I would be there best customer.

Aussie for sure

The so called British ones you get here are pony

Do they put Pony's in pies? I think that a phony statement.

I would say you can't buy a decent Pie in Thailand.

Something about not having the correct Lard to make the pastry.

Many have tried up in Chiang Mai and some have been imported.

Irish Pub does the best, but as it started as a bakery they probably have the knowledge.

Try Steve's pies from Burirum they are far better than anything made in CM, & he will send by bus from Burirum to Chiang Mai. He also makes great brown sauce and other foods. Check out the Isaan Forum for more details. They certainly beat the dire Aussie Four & Twenty pies sold in certain supermarkets.

Try the pies at the "Landmark" Hotels' down stairs bakery up Sukumvit road. Best I have ever eaten and not too expensive - western pastry maker of course! Even though he is from France......
