Guitar & Amp Shops In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Could anyone please post the best way to find music shops in Bangers?

I understand that the better ones are around Chinatown, but I don't know the area at all well. A BTS reference and road name/soi number would be dead helpful.

Thanks!

here are some articles about where to find guitar in BKK

There's also a small music shop in Fortune Town, as well as a Yamaha Pro Music Centre (no idea what they have in there), Pha Ram 9 MRT station.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

What are you looking for I can help. My brothers old house was right in the center of all the music shops. But you have to say what you are after because not all of the gear is there.

I'm interested in quite a few things, but the main driver is a hand wired practice amp (valve). Something like a Laney Lionheart. I'm in no hurry, but have time to do a recc'y this week, hence my post.

Thanks everyone, for your inputs.

i will take to my brother and his wife and see if i can get you directions in thai and english. the shops are all next to each other in about 2 or 3 blocks. i would also check central world there are two shops there and i know one has an oragne amp that is a wicked little beast. will get you that info asap.

There's a Laney dealer called Asia Music in Woeng Nakhon Kasem. Not sure whether they carry the Lionheart but they do have ohter Laney valve amps.

If that's the Orange 'Tiny Terror', I will most definitely take a look. Thanks!

Yep that’s the little killer. But mach sure you get the second version and it offers two channels or a good deal on the older model. Have a nice Christmas.

The biggest Orange dealer in Bkk is on the 4th floor of CentralWorld.
