Physical Therapist After Knee Surgery

Featured Replies

Hi All

Have been living/working in Shanghai past 4 years and just had knee reconstruction surgery for torn ACL and meniscus in October. I have been seeing an excellent physical therapist in Shanghai but will be moving back to Chiang Rai after the new year. Physical therapy is key for recovering from this type of surgery. Can anyone recommend a good physical therapist in either Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai ? Not worried about cost since I am covered by Cigna International, more concerned about the quality of care and knowledge of recovery from this type of surgery.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

over 2 months is a long time in therapy for that particular surgery. There are things you probably have been told to do on your own but to keep having to go to a therapist seems a waste of time to me. I have had both knees done over the years.

Hi!

Did you not get any exercises from the hospital where you had your surgery done?

My husband had knee surgery at Bumrungrad hospital in Bkk in july and he got a program with exercises with him to do at home afterwards.

If you need a physio therapist to help you perform your exercises with you and document your improvments perhaps you could ask at any hospital in chiang mai or chiang rai for it.

Here is a link with some hospitals in chiang mai.(a bit further down)

Call and ask them if they have any physio therapist who can help you.

Good luck and take care!
