Does anyone knows the name of a very good Endocrinologist at Chulalongkorn hospital? At present I have seen one at Bangkok hospital. He is good but I cannot afford the cost involoved to see him and have blood tests done periodically. By the way I have under active Thyroid. I am short of funds therefore I am interested in seeing a specialist at Chulalongkorn hospital. I have been told there are many highly qualified and good doctors at that hospital.

Thanks in advance

Hi Photographer,

I too have hypothyroidism - had my thyroid removed 7 years ago - been on LevoThyroxine for 7 years and been very unwell, I have now joined the TPA - UK (Thyroid Patient Advocacy UK) and have gleaned tons of information re my condition - I am sorry I cannot help with recommending a endo for you and must say that like you I also cannot afford to get medical advice here - yes, blood tests cost an arm and a leg here - been down that route - I'm in Samui - but with the TPA-UK and my now nderstanding of how the endocrine system works I am now taking my own health into my own hands - and so far doing very well.......

I would urge you to take a look at the TPA website - they are a worldwide organization who do tons of work of us hypo's and have members from as far as Australia, France, Spain, New Zealand and me here in Thailand...... as I cannot put the website link in here - please do a Google search ...... TPA-UK............. good luck, if you wish to send em an e - you would be most welcome to discuss our 'problems' Carol
