daveceaser
Hey there everyone. I am likely moving to Chiang Mai at the end of next summer and am looking for gamers out that way. Anyone who plays tabletop rpgs, warhammer, warhammer 40k, warmachine, board games, etc... let me know! I keep hearing there is a sizable expat population there, so there must be some gamers. RichT
Resurrecting this thread again (sorry!), I’ve finally found somewhere to play some of the more sophisticated boardgames in CM. There’s a dedicated boardgame café just opened up in Punna 3 near the CMU Engineering faculty entrance on Suthep road. They’ve got a pretty good selection of award winners and top rated games (e.g. Agricola, Catan, Puerto Rico, Carcassonne, Twilight Struggle, Power Grid, Le Havre and a bunch more). If none of those titles mean anything to you then this probably isn’t your thing, but if you feel the need to get your inner geek on then this is the only place I’ve found in CM that even remotely scratches that itch. Facebook link if that's allowed - if not, you'll just have to find it yourself http://www.facebook.com/PlaySpaceCM
BlackArtemis
I thought about bringing Catan with me but then realized I wouldn't have many people to play it with.

KevinPetersen
I'd love a game of Catan. I've played over 900 games of it on xbox live, but it can't compare to the real thing
binjalin
its a bit heartening that people play warhammer with the internet around etc. I am slightly surprised - chess and backgammon I understand by dungeons and dragons?

My reading and writing abilities are rather low (spoken I am fine, it's my own laziness I have to blame on not being well rounded), but I know the cards by heart and wouldn't need for it to be in English. However I hav many Thai friends who would play such games, but lack the ability to read English proficiently enough. I was kicking around the idea of buy and English version and making translations, printing, and gluing them on the cards... looks like I still might have to do this, as I love the Knights and Cities expansion and that won't be released, yet. itsMiller
Magic the Gathering. Always looking for new players in CM. I just started to play the 2013 planeswalker game a bit and I'm catching the magic fever. I'm definitely a new player but I'm a quick learner. I'd love to play if you or anyone else is interested.
