Yeah, if you find good, fast internet anywhere you'll be doing well. I certainly haven't found it in Thailand yet, and definitely not in Chiang Mai.

If you'll be staying for a bit it's probably worth signing up for a personal connection. Haven't yet used a shared connection at an apartment complex that actually holds up well.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people assume that those they don't know or have never met, will magically understand exactly what they're looking for.

Here's a tip for anyone looking for a room, a house, a car, a bike and so on....

Take a few minutes to give us some details please.

Do you want a room in a newish building? Maybe you're happy with a 20M tiny studio. Then again, you might require a large 1 bed place? Which area do/don't you want to be in? What are your preferred facilities? Are you looking for a furnished or unfurnished pad? What's your budget? Under 5000 THB/Mo, 20,000 THB/Mo, ad infinitum...

Giving a few specific details might get you a few more specific answers thus making the thread useful to you and perhaps other others that read it too.

It seems like everyone wants the best here, but the qualification is always 'cheap'.
