I saw this in the Daily Telegraph this morning, sounds like a Monty Phython sketch!

Nicole Mamo, 48, wanted to post an advert for a £5.80-an-hour domestic cleaner on her local Jobcentre Plus website.

The text of the advert ended by stating that any applicants for the post ''must be very reliable and hard-working''.

But when Ms Mamo called the Jobcentre Plus in Thetford, Norfolk, the following day she was told that her advert would not be displayed instore. A Jobcentre Plus worker claimed that the word ''reliable'' meant they could be sued for discriminating against unreliable workers.

Ms Mamo, a mother-of-two, from Boreham Wood, Herts., said the situation was ''ridiculous''.

''I placed the advert on the website and when I phoned up to check I was told it hadn't been displayed in the job centre itself," she said. ''She said 'oh we can't put that advert on the job points'. She said it was because they could have cases against them for discriminating against unreliable people..........."

There was a similar case a few years ago again with the so called job centre. Somebody asked for hard working candidates and as per PC Britain was refused as it discriminated against lazy people. As you say you couldn't make it up. The brits here should check out this guy. he should be Primeminister and would get the vote of the man and woman on the street if he ever stood.

Dont forget to add the "must be goodlooking" or "must be beautiful" lines in job ads in Thailand. Geez doing that back home get's you sued!

Before I retired I caught one of my staff, injecting herself with heroin on company premises, I sacked her, was sued for discrimination and had to reinstate her, the same young lady was found unconscius in apublic display area on the company premises 2 weeks later by the same do gooders who had gone to the newspapers to get her reinstated, needless to say they never said or did a thing when she was sacked a second time, this happened on Southbank in Brisbane!!political correctness gone mad is alive and well in Queensland too
