I've been looking around for the really good gas engine power washers I would buy in the states, but can't find them here. All I can find is the cheap plastic ones

they sell in Home Pro. I have had it with these, as they break in no time at all.

I thought you where talking about washing machines when you referred to washers. I have a Lavor pressure washer that is quite old and had been used everyday and never had a problem with it.
