I was staying in a hotel in Bangkok, and they had these amazing white cotton blankets made out of towel. Perfect for the hot weather. Does anyone know where in Chiang Mai, or even Bangkok where I can buy a couple? Are they common? Are they expensive? I would get a queen size.

Thanks!

Ask the Hotel where they get them from , Maybe they will sell you one or two , make shore you ask at the desk , you dont want some employee selling you them on the quite, There are many big shops in Bangkok,

Thanks, for the input. I didn't want it to get awkward if they offered to sell me one since I would prefer a new one. I might ask them if I can't find one.

You can get them almost anywhere but i have bought them in the markets opposite Pantip in BKK (the name of that area escapes me at the moment).

They used to be about 300 THB 6 or 7 years ago. Yes , I agree with u , they are great for hot weather.

I got a couple at Central Department Store at Kad Suan Kaew a few years ago, third floor in the bedding area. I don't remember how much I payed, but I'm sure that's not the place to go for the best price.

Being on the large size for me a normal towel is to small

I buy the Blanket type towels from Carrefour they have plain or strips 80x70 and cost 388 baht, pay the sewing lady 30 baht to cut in half and sew, so have 2 normal towels the size I like... bought from Carrefour last week... about 6 years ago they were 298 baht.
