A friend (USA) wants to marry his Thai gf. She is already married, but the Thai husband deserted her around 15 years ago before the birth of their second child.

I've suggested to him that a divorce is easy after this length of time.

Can anyone confirm this and what the proceedure should be for the Thai lady?

if he desert her more than a year or volanteerily living separately more than 3 years she can file a claim for divorce
