Greetings

Have a question regarding a marriage visa. I married a Thai lady in the U S last year and we are now living in Thailand. I am on a multi entry non-immigrant O visa. We are in the process of regestering our U S marriage here in Thailand. Went to the Amphoe office a couple of weeks ago with what I figured would be the important documents. All translated into Thai. Office called my wife a coupleof days ago and said all had been sent to Bangkok and been approved except they need 2 more things. They want the visa that was issued by the Thai government and my passport translated into Thai. I have spoken to a few of my frieds here and none of them have heard of such a thing. Anyone ever hear of this?

Already having the docs translated but seems a bit over the top

Thanks

They only deal in Thai and probably have never done this before so making sure they will not be caught out missing something if a higher up checks later I suspect.
