I want to open another Uk Offshore Bank Account. So I need someone to do the 'I agree that this a a likeness bit' etc on a copy of my passport.

I live near Ngam Wong Wan Mall, well not that far away. Can anyone recommend a legal guy who could do this without having to go into the centre of BK...thanks

Any local lawyer would be OK - They should accept your Bank Manager or Doctor also .

I'm in Thailand and no bank will sign anything like that..also a Dr is not on the list of 'approved persons'....it's a pain.

Infact this is the list

• Judiciary member, Senior Civil Servant, Serving Police Officer or Customs Officer

• Embassy, Consulate or High Commission Official

• Lawyer, Notary Public, Actuary, Company Secretary or Accountant who is a practicing member of a recognised professional body

• Director, Manager or Company Secretary with a financial role within a regulated business (e.g. Bank Manager, Finance Manager or IFA)

Well acutally they dont, I had occasion a few years ago to attempt to open an HSBC account in jersey and they wouldnt accept anything in Thai (ie address), My SCB mangers card was attached with his declaration and bank stamp...

HSBC's response, "some of the items submitted are written in a funny language"....No sh*t sherlock..its Thai....Computer says no..... :)

<deleted> to all this and opened the account in Singapore... :D .....6 months later...phone call from HSBC, "we notice from our records that you have yet to open your Premier account with us".....you people are dipsh*ts so opened the account some where else....."Oh".... :D

Bangkok Bank have signed for me in the past - They may charge 100 Baht .

Write the wording you want and your address in English and ask them to sign and stamp .

Try bank of Ireland, they accepted my electricity bill, all in Thai, as proof of address.

6 months later I discovered the account wasn't in my name at all!
