Pattaya Valentines Day Warning For Couples

Featured Replies

Valentines Day is approaching and one of the most romantic spots in Pattaya for couples to celebrate their love or even to take their relationships one step further and propose marriage, is the top of the Pratamnuk Mountain which offers a stunning viewpoint of Pattaya Bay and the rest of the city. Normally on Valentines Night, the viewpoint area is full of couples watching the sunset. Public displays of affection are often frowned-upon here in Thailand and some are calling for Police to check the area on Valentines Day to make sure that couples are not showing their love for each other in a way which is considered as unacceptable. So if you are planning to visit the area on Valentines Day, try and keep your emotions in check and we suggest a quick cuddle and kiss on the cheek should be acceptable, but if you take it a step further, you may end up justifying your actions to a Police Officer who may end up ruining your Valentines celebrations.

Sorry to nitpick this asinine non-news story but:

Valentines Day is approaching and one of the most romantic spots in Pattaya for couples to celebrate their love or even to take their relationships one step further and propose marriage, is the top of the Pratamnuk Mountain which offers a stunning viewpoint of Pattaya Bay and the rest of the city.

What is this supposed to mean. "Celebrate their love"? "to take their relationships one step further and propose marriage". What is wrong with either of these things?

Normally on Valentines Night, the viewpoint area is full of couples watching the sunset.

Shock horror.

Public displays of affection are often frowned-upon here in Thailand and some are calling for Police to check the area on Valentines Day to make sure that couples are not showing their love for each other in a way which is considered as unacceptable.

For a news organisation to write this crap and not to even try to identify the "some" is not acceptable.

Also don't they realise the police don't work at night?

And just what is unacceptable? We have just been told the place is full of people proposing and celebrating their love. Are we talking in code for dogging here? THAT would be a news story!

????

P1N has definitely dropped even beneath PPN's level with this made-up nonsense.

You might want to post a Russian translation of this as they seem likely to most benefit from such a warning :)

Good point!

More need to check the so called "fitness park" just below the viewpoint, some strange goings on in there on a nightly basis!
