wife and me just moved here 6 weeks ago with laptop

since we are staying indefinitely i recently bought a SVOA desktop

at IT city and it has "bugs" mainly i believe because i didn't configure

it (whatever that means) properly. my loaptop works fine but this

desktop will not allow skype download ("cannot find the path specified")

adobe, will not display photos off photo CDs that work fine on laptop

etc, etc etc......

rather than ask for assistance online i would like to find a person who

speaks a modicum of english to come to my condo and set it up once and

for all ( i know that sounds naive) but just generally get it up and running

properly.

does anyone have any referrals???

I use Ran Som COM Kuhn Nik tel 089 192 9761 email //removed as per forum rules//. His price is reasonable, his English is OK. You might have some poor copy Windows software on your machine by the sounds of your problem but I'm no expert and will no doubt get shot down

what OS are you using? What about firewall settings? Sometimes it's anti virus programs or spyware terminators, especially when you use more than one. What about registry cleaning? Did you do that, I had an SVOA PC myself and it worked wonders whenever I cleaned up registry. There are free registry cleaners out there. Go for it.

Some older versions of SVOA using the wrong video decoder. There are free downloads for the right decoder. I remember I had that issue and after I downloaded new decoders it all worked fine.
