Put it aside for a year, preferably mixed with any other dung or compostable material. If it stinks, spead a little dirt over it. Turn it every quarter. Never put fresh dung on plants. When it's all friable you can spread it where you want. For new shrubs/trees dig it in several inches below where the roots will rest when planted, preferably some months before you plant the shrub. That will probably be about two foot deep. When turning a dung heap here use care and a long fork; watch out for angry disturbed creatures. One way is to put your heap on that horrid blue plastic netting and turn by pulling the corners to turn it over. Needs two of you and don't wait 'til it's too big.
