Overstay ,in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I came in on a 30 day passport,but i have decided to extend my stay by 2 days.

my passport stamped to leave/exit feb 17th,but now i extended my flight to leave feb 18th.

Should i bother going to see the police to tell them?

or just go to airport however i dont want to be arrested.

What should i do now?

Just go to airport. If only one day they will not even charge the 500 baht but may make a small stamp and advise you not to overstay.

dont go to the police if you go you will be arrrested for over stay so go to the air port 1 day overstay its free no 500 baht

I am no expert on this, but i think going to immigration in Jomtien before it is expired and ask for an extension would be the most secure way to go.

It appears to be less than 24 hours and he is not currently overstay so he will not be arrested. Even when overstay it is extremely highly unlikely he would be arrested for overstay unless it were in reference to some other offense. One day is not going to be considered a major infraction and Immigration would be very likely to tell him to just pay the fine (which will not even be charged).

Don't bother to pay 1,800Baht at Jomtien Immigration to extend for one day , I know you get one day freebie at BKK, as it happened to me once quite by accident. Be calm, nothing will happen, just apologise for the oversight.

:)

That is BEST thing you've EVER said on the T/V Forum. :D especially after 3 frickin' posts.. .. ..

Just show up and fly out, paying what ever they say. FREE, 500baht, 1000bhat whatever. Clearly you've overstayed, suck it up like a man.. :)

Xplosief is actually correct, going and getting an extension is the proper way to sort it, yeah yeah i know the OP is flying the next day, what if something happens in the mean time (back of a motosai that has an accident maybe), if caught on overstay even for 1 day its gunna cost a bundle more than the extension.

"Spoonman" technically you are correct;

ESPECIALLY SO if the O/P is in Pattaya (which is about as far from the REAL thailand as you possibly could throw a dart at a map of the world blindfolded) :)

Just let him fly out tomorrow and don't make him "think 2 mut" :D
