HI

My wife and I are flying out of Bkk in June. She flies to UK and I fly to New Zealand. My flight is with Qantas and I leave at 6 pm or close to. Her flight is with Thai and she doesn't leave until around 1am the following morning.

This gives around 7 hours between flights. It would be great to go through the check in procedure with her and be sure she is through immigration with me and into the airside of the airport before I leave.

Does anyone know if early check in is permitted at Bkk if flying with Thai airways? I would like her to check in when I do, so that would be around 4 pm and with a 1 am flight I am concerned it wouldn't be allowed

any ideas?

Thanks

If on Thai, she can check in at the Thai counters anytime as long as it's not unreasonably early and I guess 6 or 7 hours is not unreasonable. I think they mainly discourage passengers from staying there overnight. So I think you can check in at the same time.

TG are pretty flexible about dropping off bags. Several times I've checked bags at BKK and then gone into the city for a few hours.........SHOPPING. I think you'll be fine.
