Mail Boxes In Pattaya

Hello Everyone,

I have decided to stay in Pattaya for a couple of months and need somewhere to get my mail sent to.

Where is a reliable place to recieve and what is the cost?

I tried the Post Office but they wanted a lot of paperwork which I may not be able to obtain for the time I am here.

The cost is 150 baht a year at the post office,

but you may have trouble getting a box, as the numbers are limited.

There are also boxes at the DHL/UPS office (cant remember which it is) located in the Central Arcade on 2nd road (where Kiss Restaurant is) behind Mikes Dept Store..............dont know how much though.

1000 baht a year at the large Condo on the right hand side coming from Pattaya just before you reach Jomtien beach. Huge adverts.

Mini Office on soi Post Office, approximately opposite the post office, will hold your mail for free. They post a list outside if you have any mail to pickup. Not 100% safe but I used it for three years without anything got missing (as far as I know). They also have safety deposit boxes and do most things the post office will do, no waiting in line.

the naklua post office will require copies of your passport and house lease. it may take a few days to have them verify your residence.

'mail box etc.' chains charge some insane amount per month so best avoid them.

remember to only send and receive using registered mail.

Best bet is the DHL office in the

Jomtien Complex Condo, just before you reach the beach. Run by DHL so should be safe. They also have safe deposit boxes for rent.

There are a number of "MailBoxesEtc" outlets, two on 2nd rd., one in North Pattaya Lotus. etc. but they are much more expensive and in my experience poorly managed.

They even lost my registered mail once and the manageress refused to even

discuss the situation with me. The post office in Naklua confirmed that the mail

had indeed been passed over to this company and signed for !!!
