peanut Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Hi again I was wondering if there is any insurance which, after paying for it here for a while, you can transfer to another country should you need to move, so that you don't need to abandon it and start all over again. So far I've only seen "international insurance" from BUPA (and I'm sure there are others) which is way, way beyond my means. I would like to know if there is this option with any insurance that costs, say, between 10-20,000 a year.
chanwit Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Just to make sure before I comment; are U talking about Life or Medical Insurance? Which country would you be moving back to?
ThaivisaInsurance Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Yes there are insurances which can be moved depending on your country of residence but these are the 'Full Cover' medical insurances not the low cost 'Basic Coverage' you are talking about.
peanut Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Medical Insurance is what I had in mind. I don't know which country, but I might want to leave Thailand one day and go somewhere else. The general consensus is that it's better to start one as young as possible, but if you have to cancel it when you change country and have to start a new one later then that's not much help. TVI, what does "full cover" mean and how much does it cost please?
