Photoshop ..............

Featured Replies

Launched 19th February 1990 Photoshop is today twenty years old.

Amazing.

I remember going on my first PS demo at Jessops in Leicester in 1995 - I was stunned.

It had such an impact I immediately sold all my film gear, darkroom equipment etc and rushed off with the proceeds to purchase an Olympus digital camera and computer.

I just can't imagine not having Photoshop these days.

See Here - Photoshop is 20

Happy birthday photoshop! I am a professional user since 1997, but started to use it for fun a couple of years before, I think was version 3. So long time...

And I still do not use it.

So , at least, if only one in this forum, my photos are not "photoshopped" :)

(What other software got "included" into the English dictonary? I think none, quite a achievement indeed)

Sign of the times but my 13 year old daughter is better at using it than me

One of the young Thai cousin of my wife is 13 and in a Thai junior high school, and they actually learn how to use photoshop at school.

Showing your age now, at the time I had a mac2 and upgraded to an Fx, that ring any bells? :D

But I started with an Aerograph and CS10! somehow wish I could turn back the clock :)

I remember saving all my money for the latest and greatest Pentium 200 - what a machine! LOL

I think it was 64 megabytes Ram and took 15 minutes to open a 2 Mb file - good old days eh? :D :D

I think I must be older than you, guys.

I remember being very happy (and it was very expensive) to go to 64 Kilobytes RAM with my first computer, the Tandy TRS 80. :)

The first computer I used, back in 1965, took a whole room and had a whole 8Kb of memory,

no disks.

An Elliot 803 as I remember it.

Programmed with telex paper tape.
