i have been using the dentristry teaching place near cmu and last year their price was 50kbaht per tooth. i went back last week and despite the baht appreciating and a global recession their price is now 67kbaht. as i need 7 thats nearly a honda jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried Grace Dental Clinic?

They are not the cheapest for anything related to teeth, but many feel they are the most efficient

True Grace is great & I have used them.

But if the O.P. didn't like the 67k per implant he will not like the 75k per implant at Grace :)

Then again perhaps the OP can get away with post & cap if OP still has a tooth in place?

Try searching for more advanced technologies. I have 100% upper and lower mandibles done in Australia. $17,000 = 500,000Bt. Go speak of cheap med tourism in LoS! :D

I have had dental work done in Thailand, significantly cheaper than Australia of course. I had been lead to believe that savings on implants were less than with other proceedures, in part because the actual titanium implant would be the same cost in either country.

Your quote of 67,000bht has me rethinking that theory.

My wife is currently waiting to have an implant fitted, the cost, a bit over AUD 4,000 or 120,000bht.

She also has a Honda Jazz which cost 600,000bht, so your doing OK on that front too :)

The problem with doing nothing now is that as you gnash away on your fish and chips you gradually lose the bone so 10 years later when you think you might have something done afterall you can't 'cos there's no bone to hold the implant.

Agree with that comment when I had my implant, specialist said minimum bone thickness was 13mm, scan revealed I only had 12mm...bone graft and another few hundred dollars on the bill!!

My implant and the one my wife is waiting on were to support teeth at the back of the mouth, it is to do with being able to continue eating properly and preserving remaining teeth, nothing at all to do with vanity or cosmetic dentistry, but everything to do with modern dental beliefs. Our parents probably had full sets of false teeth before they were 40, how rare would that be today?
