Does anyone think if Thaksin assets are seized, there will be trouble for tourists or expats ,by angry thais, and should western countries be warning their citizens about going to thailand. Will phuket be immune to all this.

Western countries have already issued warnings. Stay away from any large gatherings of people wearing red (or yellow ... but the yellows have no reason to gather) andyou'll be fine.

In theory no place is "immune" but Phuket is not considered to be a Red area and they really have no reason to gather there.

I'm not completely sure about this but maybe they will ask you to pay for the lost money. 72 billion divided by 18 million tourists is just 4000 per head. It's not that much IMHO but in any case, refuse to pay more if they would ask. Then it's a scam!
