gotlost
Congratulation to all you Canadians in Chiang Mai for a thrilling 3-2 OT Ice Hockey win over us Yanks. Did any venue in CM open early to show the game or did they all wimp out?
MESmith
Doesn't bother me, but people may be planning to download & watch later today - SPOILER
IanForbes
The game certainly lived up to its advanced billing and sent a bunch of Canuck fans home happy. Too bad the IOC had to have the game at a time where nobody but those in Vancouver could watch it at a reasonable hour. I hate the top brass of the IOC with a passion because they've turned the Olympics into their own personal games.
iainiain101
Here is the real hockey news.... England secured an historic and memorable victory over pre-tournament favourites Australia in their opening match of the Hero Honda FIH World Cup in Delhi on Sunday thanks to the outstanding goalkeeping of Cannock’s James Fair and goals from Surbiton forward James Tindall and set piece specialist Ashley Jackson. England had not beaten the Kookaburras since 1985 and the win was England’s first over Australia in a World Cup match since 1975. It marks only England's fifth victory in 52 matches between the two nations. iSabai
Sounds like it was a great game, which I missed again! Congrats to Canada, and kudos USA!
canuckamuck
Well I am still waiting to find a torrent to download so that I could watch it. I was trying very hard not to check the news so that I could watch the game in suspense. As you can imagine an overtime game in the Olympics between Canada and the US is a major event in the life of a Canadian. Thanks for taking that away from us. Seems to me it is played by women the world over. Mommy! I fell down and hurt my knee! The bad man pushed me! It hurts It hurts! If a hockey player pulled that crap we would laugh him off the ice.
