Hi,

I started using True Internet a few weeks ago and now, every time I want to edit a page in my blog when I click the button 'update', it sends me to the url "landing.trueinternet.co.th" that then redirects me to 'http://minihome.truelife.com/welcometrue/'

If I just close my laptop, move to a McDonalds and open it again, it works without problems. So the problem is clearly with True. This also happens sometimes with other 'post' buttons.

Did you face this problem before? It's really, really strange.

Thanks in advance,

Hi

It might be the true router (with software). there were redirects to true's webpage when I set up their free one port router.

luckily i wanted to use a wireless router so didn;t need to find a solution for that, but that would be my guess

good luck

Thanks for the info. I usually search for previous posts but this time I forgot to do it. I guess I thought it was too weird to have happened to other people.

I've been reading those posts as well as others I found. It's clear that the problem it's the router so I contacted True. They were very kind, but unable to help. Also, other people in the forum stated that they just gave up and bought a new router.

Did anyone manage to fix the router?

Thanks in advance,

Juan

I haven't been able to figure out what triggers the redirect. The strange thing is that it sometimes happens in one browser, but then I try the same URL in another browser and it's fine. Weird.

Since the redirect doesn't happen very often, I don't feel like buying a new router. And there's one trick that's helped the situation...

I edited my hosts file to make landing.trueinternet.co.th point to 127.0.0.1 (my own computer). So now when the sneaky little router trick happens, I just see a blank screen from my own system instead of that goddamn TrueLife page.

This change has seriously prolonged the life of my laptop since I no longer want to throw a coffee mug at my screen when the True page comes up. :)
