I've been looking high and low for a replacement for my earthenware bread crock - whose lid I dropped and broke. I have seen a wood container with a lid (in Index) which is apparently meant for rice. I was wondering if wood will work just as well as earthenware or tin to keep bread fresh - the latter is the usual thing one sees for bread bins.

Otherwize has anyone seen a bread bin for sale somewhere in Bangkk or Chiangmai?
