Hi

Ive got an Air Asia ticket out of thailand next week. I am wondering what happens if the airport is closed due to rioting or protests?

AA dont let you change ticket itinery... what happened to AA flights and tickets when BKK airport was closed last time?

Thanks

Just enjoy the extra days.

Your airline will honour your ticket and there is a guaranteed compensation package promised by the Thai government.

Maybe we should start a kind of Red Shirt Lotto. Buying some tickets and hope that the guaranteed compensation is higher then the ticket. Like getting some rooms in the Oriental paid by the Government..... :)

Yes. I enjoyed my extra 4 days last time.

I doubt very much that we will see a repeat - obviously we won't because the yellow shirts have no reason to protest and the red shirts would be deied access.

The worst thing that the punters had to worry about in CM was if they still had to pay the BF on their GF that they brought up from Pattaya. :)

Maybe it will turn into the tooth fairy...or some gold or a house or a pig or a bottle of water...probably it will still be a piece of paper, what would you like your Air Asia Ticket to turn into?

I wouldn't worry, it won't "happen" into anything that it is already...check tomorrow, and the next day and the day after that ad infinitum..it will still be an Air Asia Ticket! But your gold will still buy you a new ticket... and the piece of paper from Air Asia can always be used to wipe your ass!

Air Asia will treat its clients with the same respect and concern that it does now.

:)

be sure to allow an extra day to sit around waiting on the phone in the hopes that someone answers.

It is extremely unlikely that the airport is gonna be affected. The army and police aren't going to let the red-shirts anywhere near the airport. And besides none of the protests planned are anywhere near there..

No worries whatsoever.
