Hua Thanon, Need Your Opinion

Hi folks!

We are going to visit Samui for a month stay. This time we`ve found interesting an offer to rent a houses in Hua Thanon. We are few couples with kids, and interested in a quiet place, not far from the beach. Our previous visits we rented houses near the Tesco Lotus, Chaweng. Everithing there was perfect, except the noice from the night club all nights long. I would be thankful to you, if you could tell me about the place. Positive and negative sides of Hua Thanon.

I lived in Hua Thanon for several years a few years back, IMO it is a good place to stay with kids. Is the house on the beach or near the beach?

The area itself doesn't have much to offer in terms of facilities but there are a few thai food places, a 7-11 & of course the local muslim food market. Fresh fish & seafood is available practically off the boat & locals are laid back & friendly.

If you are in Hua Thanon proper (on the ring road) then the road noise might be a problem, if you are further south near the butterfly garden then it is very quiet.

Getting around is quite easy if you have a car or jeep & tbh if I was coming as a large group & staying with a bunch of kids then its a good choice.

Yep. Hua Thanon very quiet, Some nice beaches.

When I lived in Samui we used to go to the market for fresh fish and crabs.

Thank you guys! It was i wanted to know. And yet, seems houses are located close to the road, but i think the noice from the road is nothing to compare with the night club we used to live close by -).

I love it out here, it's nice and quiet, away from everything. Lamai is only 10 minutes away...
