Pardon me if this has been asked a thousand times.. but sadly i am unable to search and find whether the same problem has been addressed earlier..My query is.. I am an Indian national and we have got an order for our software in Thailand (just one right now). We intend to visit thailand for installation and customisation of the software (the process might need us to be with our client for a period of 2-3 weeks..).. We checked the different VISA options available.. but then we ourself got confused as we are not being employed by a thailand based companny.. but we are working for our own company. Can someone put in some suggestions / solution on what type of visa we need to apply for. We intend to visit by May or June.

I think for a start you will have to apply for a work visa. You cannot work in Thailand without one, I maybe wrong but I do not think so. You may get away with telling a Thai national how to install your software

You should obtain a Non-B visa and the Thai company should apply for a temporary work permit for you from local labour office.

Correct, the company you are rendering the services to (your client) can apply for a temporary work permit on your behalf (up to 14 days valid i think).

You will need to enter Thailand on a non immigrant B-visa. it might be necessary that you will have to supply the Thai embassy with supporting documents, i.e sales contract, invitation by your client etc...
