I am an American who has recently changed from a Tourist Visa to NON-IMM in preparation to apply for the Retirement Visa. So far so good.

When making my initial change from Tourist to NON-IMM I had the Income Verification from the US Consulate. It is now nearly 2 months old. Do I need to obtain a new Income Verification from the US Consulate when I make my final NON-IMM O Retirement application in a few days? Having paid them once, I'd rather not pay them again.

Are there any other fees I need to be aware of other than the 1900 baht application fee?

Thanks a lot.....

They did not take the original income letter? Normally they do and a new one is required. But if not I would try with the old one. Only fee is the 1,900 baht for TM.7 but often a good idea to obtain a re-entry permit after the extension is stamped into your passport and the would be 1,000 baht (or 3,800 for multi).

Seems, in fact, that they did keep the original Certificate/Verification of Income from the US Consulate. Maybe I'll visit the good officers on Monday and see if indeed they do need it. After all, nothing has changed in the past two months......and its not like applying for the one year extension AFTER one year! I'll report back with the results.....

BTW: This will be in Chiang Mai.

Thanks.
