Good day all,

I am trying to find out information ,I am looking at the application from the Thai embassy in Austrailia. I want a 12 month multi entry visa, it ask the purpose. It does not have option for visiting friends , It does have family or spouse. as i am not legally married in thailand what should i put as the purpose?

There are very few consulates in the world that will issue Non-O multiple entry visa on the basis of visiting friends. But the consulate in Perth will, but they require a copy of ID card/passport of Thai friend (and suggest short note from friend requesting issue of visa too).

You do not state your age, but for Australian nationals aged between 18 and 30 with at least 3 years of study there is the working holiday visa which may be another option. Have a look at this link for more information.
