What's The Latest And Best Satelite Internet In Los?

Thinking of moving to a remote area in LOS with no phone lines [and hardly any cel signal] and wondering what options there are with satelite for internet now?? would appreciate install costs as well as monthly [or usage?] costs and of course speed and reliability of service.

I am only aware of IPStar and have used it for about 3 years. If I remember right install was around 2300 baht and a monthly charge of about 2700 baht for 1 meg up and 512 down link. Reliabiliby is frustrating at times and other times really good.

I use the TOT Ipstar service since that is the only one available here.

I would not rate it great but would say adequate most of the time.

Anxious for new cell phone technology to arrive but have no idea of if or when to expect it in our area, rural is not priority for phone companies.
