Thai Air - Domestic Baggage Allowance

Featured Replies

Ive got through all the booking stage to fly from BKK to Khon Kaen but nowhere on it does it show me the baggage allowance.

Now im presuming its 20KG for economy class, but can anyone confirm as i dont want to get stung at the airport after paying 3200bht (expensive?) for a flight.

15 KG is standard but you can increase that on their website, costs around 100 baht.

Hand luggage is 7 KG

Sorry read that wrong. You are correct it is 20KG

Yes can confirm its 20kg but it doesnt tell you until payment has gone throught .. thanks

Yes, their standard-allowance in Economy is 20kgs, however if you're using TG to connect to another international-flight, and have a frequent-flyer card with that airline permitting you 30 or 35 kgs, then Thai will usually allow you the extra weight, at no extra charge for the domestic-sector too !

For example I check-in at CNX, show my tickets & f-f-card for Qatar, on a TG-flight to BKK and then onwards to Doha & London on Qatar-Airways, and get my 35 kgs all-the-way. The same applies inbound, from London with lots of 'goodies', provided that I book my hold-luggage all-the-way when I check-in in London.

This is one of those little extras, which makes flying TG worth the extra money, IMO.
