Yesterday my wife went to renew my WP (see report in this Topic )and she was also given a bunch of standard rules about WP applications. They appear to be up to date apart from some of the fees listed which have recently been changed.

Sorry I can't create a .pdf file so I just go ahead and post every page (11 in total) as a .jpg.

Thanks Ophalhort. Very usefull to the members in Bangkok and finally a list of all the prices. I was looking for that on the internet, but couldn' find them.

For now I would not take the listed fees as 100% correct since I recall that a few months ago it was confirmed here on TV that the application fee is now 600.- Baht.

Tomorrow my wife will go again and all should be clear by then. Will post here what we actually had to pay.

PS. anybody here able to create a pdf file out of the jpgs I posted and pin it somewhere?

Yes last year April it was also 100 Baht in BKK but there is somewhere a topic on TV which confirmed that it is now 600 Baht.

Let's wait and see. Tomorrw I'll know for sure.

Member topic is here. The report is unclear as to whether the changes relates to just new WP applications or to WP renewals as well. Whatever, there seem to have been delays in implementation, maybe awaiting FBA changes, but delays in implementation are not unusual.

There's no mention of having to employ a certain amount of thais per foreign employee on any of those uploads. Is that because it is handled by another department or just those scans don't cover it all?

I uploaded all pages we got.

The requirement for Thai employees depends obviously very much on your situation.

Many requirements are not from labour but from immigration. Meaning you can get a work permit, but not an extension of stay from immigration. That is why some people stay in thailand on a multiple non-B.

Some Info. Please DO NOT take this as a rule!

When my WP was issued in 1999 it had a condition that we had to have at least 7 Thai employees.

At that time we had 4 real and 3 "ghost" employees.

This condition is still stated in the WP.

When they (Labour) reduced it to 4 Thais a couple of years ago we asked them to change the condition but were told that it would be very complicated and we should either stick to the condition (which they would ignore) or apply for a new WP.

I still have the WP with condition 7 Thais but only the real 4 Thais are listed in documents and had no problem so far.

Note: I'm talking about renewal here and not new applications!!!

Update:

My wife went this morning and all went okay.

If I would only require a one year renewal it would have been issued in the afternoon.

From officer: If they are not too busy they issue the renewal on the same day but according to their rules it will never take more than 3 working days.

In my case I also had to make changes in the WP book (our Khet/district changed all the addresses). This change had to be applied for using this form:

form_AppX.doc

Labour has to process this application first (2-3 days at a different section of the department) before they can process the extension because all company documents show already the new address.

Due to long holiday next week was give appointment date of 20.04.10 (by coincidence also my current expiry date) but since we can not go on that day were told no problem to come 2-3 days later.

Some more info received today:

And this may be new: My wife was told that next time have to use the WP.5 form with the bar code at the top. The form has not changed apart from the bar code.

Here is a copy of the front page, all other pages are the same as in previous years:

As for fees:

Only had to pay the application fee of 100.- Baht today!!! so no change there. Will know other charges once process is completed.
