Retirement Visa

Featured Replies

I am nearing the big 60 in two months,i have just returned from Thailand, visiting Hua Hin.

I plan to relocate there,rent for a while,then possibly buy a villa.

Now i had planned on obtaining a Non Imig Visa here in Australia, then a retirement Visa in LOS.

But....I like a lot of other Expats do not like to place the 800,000bht into an account in Thail.

So is it possible to obtain a retirement Visa, and do the 90 day Border Run?? without the req 800,000 cash in the bank?

If so are these Border Runs ok? and what do u need to take other than your Passport.

Many thanx.

Yes, it may be possible to get a one year multiple entry "O" Visa, and do the border runs every 90 days. But, have you considered applying for a one year "Extension of Stay" based on income(65,000 Baht) instead of the savings account? Also, it can be a combination of income and savings account, and another alternative would be to obatain an"O-A" Visa in your home country.
